Dear Students, Parents and Teachers,
A very warm welcome to the Academic Session 2019-20!
At the onset, let me begin by congratulating all my students, teachers, parents, our well-wishers and the community for yet another year of the most amazing journey through pre-primary education.
In my travels across the world, I have seen that child-centered teaching/learning is an approach that is increasingly being encouraged in the kindergarten as well as in the formal schooling years.
Today, we would like to celebrate – “Child-centered learning both for teachers and the taught!” The central philosophy in TFA places the child at the notional centre of the learning process in which students are active participants. It Involves giving children choices of learning activities, lateral thinking skills, opportunities to reflect and form opinion, express through varied forms – art, dance, drama, written expression.
At TFA we recognize that no single curriculum or pedagogical approach can be identified as best. This is why the TFA programmes is well-planned, dynamically tuned with the changing times, sound and deep in building foundation knowledge, skill-specified learning outcomes and integrated across domains to ensure that the students are well prepared to master the complex demands of formal schooling.
The success of such a programme necessitates the involvement of 3 crucial stake-holders: The Pupils, The Teachers and of course, The Parents. Finally, there is of course the School – the learning space for the holistic development, socialization and overall growth of these little ones.
At the end of the 3 year journey, the magical entity that emerges when we put the 3 basic facets together under the umbrella of the school, is a confident, sensitive, compassionate TFA-ITE ready with a unique personality to start formal schooling to make his/her mark!
Congratulations once again and we look forward to another exhilarating year of globally connected learning, discovery and edutainment!
With best wishes,
