TFA has developed its own rich curriculum that is governed by the developmental milestones, principles of Montessori, ECCE, Riverside programme and the tenets of stress-free learning. At TFA, our aim is to create a stimulating environment that encourages continuous & modular learning, reflection and self-assessment; one that engages children in a network of emotionally safe relationships and experiences.
The TFA curriculum treats the pre-primary years as one block of preparatory time, during which children acquire the minimum skills in the domains mentioned above – essential for formal schooling in Standard 1. English remains the primary. language. Children are also exposed to the second language from Junior KG (Hindi / Gujarati)
TFA offers Local/State level, National level and International level curricula. The performances of understanding (assessments) across all subject domains are continuous, comprehensive, open and in tune with the concept of Multiple Intelligence. Students also develop the skills of self and peer evaluation, as per the set criteria and standards.
Space for mistakes is a daily philosophy that encourages children not to fear making mistakes, rather learn from them. Inductive discipline methods ensure understanding the reasons for rules and the consequences of inappropriate acts, which in turn governs social behaviour. TFA supplements the regular school programme with reinforcement classes on Saturdays, for those who need individual attention and the extra push. We do not support tuition classes.
