TFA has been designed with particular attention for creating a spacious stimulating, child-friendly and hygienic environment that encourages social interaction and intellectual development. All areas are child friendly and special care has been taken to ensure high standards of safety, hygiene and well-being. The school building is a 4-storeyed rectangular,220 feet block, standing pristine white from base to top. Each floor has a long central corridor with classes opening onto it. The wide corridors allow for free and easy movement of children. TFA has specially allocated resource rooms for dance, audio-visual displays, library, stores ‘n stocks, office and administration.

Sandpit/Play Area

The ground-floor area under the classes is a large sandpit equipped with jungle gym, slides, swings, merry-go-round, rope climbers, bridge walkers, sand play equipment – allowing for sand pit time even during rainy days. All the equipment enable independent play and help in gross motor development. An adjoining paved area caters to the morning assembly, cycling, water play & games.

Classrooms

The classroom is the third teacher- where a lot of life skills are also acquired. The rooms have large windows for natural light & fresh air. Each class accommodates 30 students, with cubby-holes for individual student’s books & stationery. Classes are decorated with displays, blackboard, charts, word-walls, toys & games, story books and the children’s works-giving them a strong sense of ownership and pride.

Within the classroom, children acquire social habits and practices, conversational & listening skills, sharing and respecting other’s views during circle time, etc. All classrooms have a PA system and CCTV with video and audio – the school is equipped with DVR recordable CCTV systems in all the classrooms to view ongoing class sessions, review good practices, do self appraisal of one’s own session and to clarify dubious, unlawful events that may require the scrutiny by the school authorities. Tiled floors help to maintain cleanliness, health & hygiene.

Library

The school provides an extensive annually updated and enriched library has over 1670 books covering varied genres, over 3 titles of periodicals, magazines, newsprint. Books classified under Issue and Reference. The library also keeps encyclopedia, CDs & DVDs and samples of varied publication books. The library also has seating for individual and group work for a capacity of 34 students, 1 teacher.
